ACE Insurance has today announced the appointment of Mr R. Raman as Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Manager - Construction and Property Insurance.
In this new role for the region, Mr Raman will be based in the Bahrain office and report to Mr Giles Ward – MENA Regional Director. He will be responsible for developing and underwriting construction and property business within the Bahrain branch and he will also provide technical support to ACE’s underwriting teams within the wider region.
Mr Raman has over 20 years experience within the insurance industry and joins ACE from Liberty International Underwriters where he was Assistant Vice President – Energy and Construction for the Middle East. He has also worked for AIG and AXA and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Bangalore University, India.
Announcing Mr Raman’s appointment, Giles Ward comments: “I am delighted to welcome Raman to ACE’s expanding operations within the region. We have seen some exciting developments this year, including our license approval by the Central Bank of Bahrain to write commercial property and casualty insurance and reinsurance in Bahrain.
