ACE European Group (ACE) announced today the appointment of Andreas Wania as Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe. Andreas’s role encompasses a region extending from Russia and the CIS in the North through Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to ACE’s forthcoming Turkish operation in the South.
Andreas joined ACE in October 2004 to start-up CJSC ACE insurance company, ACE’s non-life Russian company. As Country Manager for ACE’s operation in Russia and in his new role, Andreas will report directly to David Furby, President Continental Europe. .
Commenting on his appointment, David Furby said: “Andreas has done a tremendous job in Russia, building our business there from scratch and taking advantage of the many opportunities arising from the rapidly growing Russian economy. Throughout Russia and the wider CEE region, above average economic growth has created significant demand for both P&C and A&H insurance products and services. In his new role, Andreas will be able to use his Russian experience to the benefit of other ACE operations within the CEE region and in the near future, ACE Turkey.”
